Umarex now offers the P08, a Co2 powered version of the famous semi-automatic pistol for recreational shooting.
The pistol's rugged all-metal design, easy handling and high energy make it ideal for plinking. Its removable magazine holds 21 4.5mm steel BBs. The safety is positioned exactly as in the original.
This famous German semi automatic pistol was designed in 1899 by Georg Luger (1849-1923), an engineer at Ludwig Lowe & Co in Berlin.
The correct full name is "Parabelum pistol, Borchardt-Luger system". The unusual principle of this pistol, a toggle-joint breech lock, was based on a design by Hugo Borchardt.
The designation 08 refers to the year in which the pistol was adopted by the German army. The P.08 was used by the German army until the end of World War II.
