The BSA R12 CLX Pro Wilderness Edition .177 is the latest development of BSA’s highly regarded R12 series, combining the proven R12 platform with a number of important updates designed around customer and gun shop feedback.
One of the most significant changes is the new machined Picatinny rail on top of the action. Replacing the previous dovetail rail, this provides a more versatile mounting platform and makes fitting both conventional scope mounts and modern night vision or thermal optics straightforward, without the confusion of different dovetail rail sizes.
The R12 CLX Pro Wilderness Edition is now fitted with a 15-inch barrel, with BSA standardising the barrel length across the CLX Pro range. The longer barrel helps maximise efficiency and shot count, with BSA quoting up to 400 shots per fill in .177 and up to 440 shots in .22, from a recommended fill pressure of 230 bar.
Each new R12 CLX Pro is supplied with two 12-shot magazines along with the CCS (Customer Configurable Shroud) adaptors, giving the owner greater flexibility when configuring the rifle.
For transport and storage, the rifle and accessories are supplied in a foam-padded hard case. The case can be padlocked for additional security and to help prevent unauthorised access.
BSA has also increased the manufacturer's warranty on the latest R12 CLX Pro to five years for the initial purchaser, subject to BSA's warranty terms and conditions. This provides additional peace of mind and reflects BSA's confidence in the reliability of the latest R12 design.
The R12 CLX Pro Wilderness Edition offers a versatile package for the airgun enthusiast, particularly for those looking for a rifle capable of accommodating traditional optical scopes as well as modern night vision and thermal equipment.
Here at Airgunspares & The Countrystore Gunshop, we are happy to help customers choose suitable scopes, mounts and accessories for the BSA R12 CLX Pro. If you are unsure what equipment would best suit your requirements, please contact us or visit the shop and speak to our experienced team.
