Lincoln Jeffries & BSA Air Rifles
The latest book by John Knibbs.
Since the publication of "BSA and Lincoln Jeffries Air Rifles" in 1986, further studies of these fascinating Air Rifles have revealed much new information and more technical details of the various models produced up to and during the First World War.
The definitive guide for BSA collectors, gun enthusiasts and shooters interested in British ingenuity.
The Jeffries family have supplied to the author many new facts and photographs from their family archives which clarify and confirm details of the involvement of the family in firearm, shotgun and air powered weapon innovation and development during the latter part of the nineteenth and early part of the twentieth century.
In this enlarged and revised edition of the 1986 publication, the serial number index has been revised and where necessary, corrected and more information on the Military Air Rifles and Gun Laying Teachers has been recorded.
These latter air weapons were the only air powered arm to be adopted by the War Office for military training purposes during and before both World Wars.
This fact in itself is confirmation of the ingenuity and reliability of the many inventions of George Lincoln Jeffries to whom the development of the British Airgun Industry should be ever grateful.
