A rare opportunity to own a seldom seen Relum Hurricane .22 calibre air pistol, complete with its original box and detachable wire shoulder stock. Manufactured by FEG in Budapest, Hungary between 1957 and 1963, these pistols were imported into the UK and sold under the Relum name, making them a unique piece of European airgun history.
This example features the distinctive underlever cocking system with tap loading mechanism, similar in design to the rifles produced by the same manufacturer. The removable skeleton wire stock fits neatly into the rear of the grip, converting the pistol into an early carbine-style configuration, adding both practicality and collectability.
Presented in good overall condition, this pistol shows signs of honest use. The metalwork retains fair bluing with some light surface corrosion in places, while the wooden grips and stock remain solid with age-related wear. Importantly, it comes complete with its highly desirable and rarely found original packaging, including the outer cardboard box and internal presentation box.
Relum Hurricane pistols are increasingly hard to find, particularly as complete boxed examples. This makes it a standout addition for collectors of vintage airguns or those seeking an unusual and historically interesting piece.
