This pre-owned Webley Junior Air Pistol is a charming and highly collectible example dating from the immediate post-war period, produced between 1946 and 1950. This particular pistol is an earlier variant, identified by the absence of the adjustable rear sight which was only introduced from 1950 onwards, making it a desirable piece for collectors seeking originality.
It retains its original smooth bore .177 barrel, a feature often replaced in later years with rifled MK2 versions. Finding a Webley Junior in this unmodified configuration is increasingly uncommon and adds to its appeal as a genuine period-correct example.
The pistol remains in good overall condition for its age, with honest wear to the blued finish consistent with careful use over time. The original grips are intact with no visible cracks or splits, further enhancing its desirability.
Matching and correct markings are present throughout, including the inspection letter “J” stamped on the rear of the trigger guard. The frame carries batch number 3207 beneath the left-hand grip, while the end plug is marked 207. These corresponding numbers indicate the pistol has not been pieced together from mismatched components, but remains a cohesive and original example.
A fantastic addition for collectors of classic British air pistols or those with an appreciation for vintage Webley craftsmanship.
