Hopper Spit from Birchwood Casey, may be strangely named, however it is ideal for the shooter looking for long term protection of a guns metal surfaces. Specifically formulated to protect ferrous and no ferrous metals from the corrosive effects of harsh conditions, it is ideal for the active shooter that uses there gun in all weathers.
Hopper Spit has found to significantly outlast similar products in laboratory conditions, when coated metal products are subjected to a salt spray attack. This novel named product can also be used to give added protection to firearms and air rifles in long term storage or where damp can be a problem.
Easy to use, you simply shake the can for 20-30 seconds before spraying the Hopper Spit onto a rag or cloth before wiping evenly across the area that needs protection. With large areas, you can also spray it directly onto the surface and then wipe over to give and even coating. Leave to cure into a film that can be removed with a high quality solvent if needed
